Lil Skippers is our thoughtfully tailored program designed for children aged 2.5 to 4 years old, along with their parents. It focuses on safety, learning, and the absolute delight of a family day out in the snow.

Our program has been meticulously crafted to provide a captivating and secure introduction to the exhilarating world of winter sports. We recognize that young children, accompanied by their parents, have unique needs and expectations when it comes to winter activities.

This program is offered for an enjoyable 1-hour session on Sundays a follows.

Sundays 12:30-1:30pm: 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, & 2/22

Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the session, fostering a sense of togetherness and exploration. The accompanying parent should not be on skis or a snowboard.

Dedicated to young skiers and snowboarders aged 4 to 14, the Beluga Explorer Youth Programs offers an enriching pathway to forge an enduring connection with the exhilarating world of skiing and snowboarding. With a purposeful blend of engaging learning experiences, expertly designed curriculum, and attentive instruction, this program is tailored to cater to all skill levels. Safety, enjoyment, and skill progression remain at the forefront, ensuring a holistic and enriching journey.

Programs include:

• mini Beluga Explorers 4 week session offered Saturdays and Sundays for ages 4-6.

• Beluga Explorers Afterschool 6 week session offered Thursday nights for ages 7-14.

• Beluga Explorers Weekends 4 week session offered Saturdays and Sundays for ages 7-14.

The GNARwhals program is tailored for young adventurers aged 11 to 14, who are eager to explore diverse riding conditions and conquer the terrain park. Whether you're a confident skier or snowboarder comfortable navigating blue, black, and park trails, this program serves as your gateway to experiencing the exhilaration of both varied terrain and the park. While prior experience in tree skiing, moguls, or glades is not required, please be aware that you must provide your own gear to participate and be comfortable riding the chair lift and handling blue-level terrain.

Each session spans three weeks and meets once a week, offering an immersive opportunity to hone your skills and embark on thrilling adventures in the snow.

Winter Camp is a prime opportunity for skiing and riding! Whether your children are beginners taking their first steps on the slopes or seasoned riders with years of experience, we are committed to ensuring they have the tools to enhance their skills, forge new friendships, develop a deeper connection with the outdoors, and, most importantly, revel in endless fun.

Our campers will immerse themselves in the mountain experience, spending valuable time outdoors as they explore the slopes through group lessons. In addition to skill-building sessions, they'll enjoy engaging warm-up periods filled with activities and games designed to keep the excitement alive. To enhance the learning process, children are thoughtfully grouped according to their age and skill level, each matched with one (or more) of our dedicated professional instructors.

Our Afterschool Ski and Snowboard Programs are designed to be accessible and affordable for our local Elementary, Middle, and High school students, making it the perfect adventure for aspiring snowsports enthusiasts. These multi-week programs can offer the flexibility of lessons or a free-ride option. Please check with your school to find out what is available to you.

Geared towards students of all abilities and backgrounds, this program goes beyond just introducing winter sports; it aims to nurture a lifelong passion. The Whaleback Mountain Club is a Freestyle and All-Mountain youth development and competition ski program operated by the Whaleback Mountain Club, separately from UVSSF.  

Our goal is to develop athletes in a fun and nurturing environment and inspire enthusiasm for winter sports.  We ski and ride as teams encouraging each individual to progress to the best of their ability, whether as a recreational skier or as a competitor.  We offer:

• Affordable Seasonal Programs for youth ages 5 thru 17, novice to competition levels
