Mountain School Coaches
We are currently hiring ski and snowboard coaches for the 09/10 season.  Applicants must have:
- at least an intermediate ability level in skiing or snowboarding
- willingness and desire to improve one’s own skiing or riding
-the desire to be a coach in your respective sport.  Being a coach means that you are here to assess the skiing or riding of your client and to provide a development course for the client to improve in the sport that is a pleasant and enjoyable experience
-availability during the week after school Tuesday-Friday, on weekends and/or holidays, including the week of December 28th-January1st, January 16th-18th and February 15th-19th

 -the ability to work with other coaches as a team

Coaches work 4-16 hours per week and up to 50 hours per week during holiday weeks.  

Temporary positions are available for coaches available only during the holidays.

A minimum of 20 days of teaching and at least 25 days of availability from December 19-March 28 is required to maintain pass throughout the season so please no applicants who want just a pass but are not here for the love of coaching.

 

 

We are looking for a motivated individual to come intern at Whaleback this winter. Whaleback has a fun casual work atmosphere and is owned and run locally. You would get hands on experience in working with marketing across the whole spectrum from media buying, account management, brand management, running events, writing copy, internet and gorilla marketing. We are willing to work within the requirements of your school and you will get a free season pass to Whaleback. We are looking for someone who has experience with Microsoft office specifically excel. Someone who is good with people and can think on their feet. You must be able to provide your own transportation and be reliable. Loving to ski or ride is not required but doesn't hurt. The internship is unpaid and for school or resume credit only.
